Game Day Grub Collage

The Super Bowl is less than a week away and what does that mean? It’s time to start thinking about Super Bowl food of course! Below are our 2nd annual Game Day Grub recommendations. All whole food. All plant-based. All oil-free. All DELICIOUS!

Mile High NachosMile High Vegan Nachos

Are you even really watching a football game if there aren’t nachos involved? These nachos are loaded a mile high with our killer cashew-based queso, tempeh taco meat, guac, black beans, and really anything else your heart desires. You can make this cliché football-watching appetizer even healthier by baking your own tortilla chips. Trust us, it’s easier than you’re imagining!

Air Fried Cauliflower Hot Wings with Dairy-Free RanchAir Fried Cauliflower Hot Wings

These cauliflower hot wings taste as good as they look and are “fried” with air rather than oil. You do need my new favorite appliance to create this appetizer – an air fryer. These wings have that same hot wing sauce flavor and as a major bonus — you can dip them in 100% plant-based ranch!

Sweet Potato Quinoa ChiliSweet Potato Quinoa Chili

The best game day recipes are the ones you can put in a crock-pot and forget about. This flavorful whole food, plant-based chili recipe has it all with quinoa, sweet potatoes, kidney and black beans, corn and many different spices.

Cornbread MuffinsCornbread Muffins & Chili

If there’s chili involved then cornbread is a must. These personal size cornbread muffins are convenient and easy to whip up while your chili is cooking in the crockpot.

Baba GanoushBaba ganoush

Dips are great game day appetizers because guests can munch on them throughout the evening. They’re even greater for sneaking veggies in your diet. Super Bowl parties might not seem like the most ideal time to get your veg on, but with a good dip you won’t even notice the healthy choices you’re making with each bite. Touchdown!

Mojito Fruit SaladMojito Fruit Salad

Every party needs some fruit. Rather than a boring fruit platter, shake things up with mint! This Mojito Fruit Salad is always a hit no matter the occasion.

4-Ingredient Brown Rice Krispie Treats4 Ingredient Rice Krispie Treats

This dessert recipe is as simple as they get! These rice krispie treats have only 4 whole plant-based  ingredients but still have that peanut butter-crunchy-sticky rice krispie treat goodness.

Salt & Vinegar Popcorn or Pickle PopcornPickle Popcorn

Later on in the 4th quarter when a snack sounds good and you need something to keep your nervous hands busy, popcorn is the real MVP. These 2 recipes: Salt & Vinegar Popcorn and Pickle Popcorn are just 2 of the endless popcorn seasoning options. We also like using nutritional yeast, Italian seasoning, cinnamon, curry powder, and the classic salt & pepper combo. With most of these we first spritz the popcorn with veggie broth, balsamic vinegar, pickle juice or water to get the seasoning to stick to the popcorn. * Make sure to be conservative with the spritzing as over-spritzing will result in soggy popcorn. Flag on the play!
