Rinse the potatoes. Carefully use a fork to make multiple holes in each potato and bake.
To cook in the oven, preheat oven to 400 degrees, wrap potatoes in foil and cook for 30-45 minutes.
To bake in the microwave, place on a microwave safe plate and microwave on high for 5 minutes, turn and microwave an additional 3-5 minutes. Cooking times depending on the size of the potatoes.
Once potatoes are soft, cut in half lengthwise. Top each potato with 1/2 cup black beans, 2-3 T salsa and 1/4-1/2 of avocado.
