Fresh 5-Minute Guacamole Ingredients

Avocados

The base of guacamole is – of course – avocados. ??? These are full of healthy fats, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants and even fiber. Because of their fat content, avocados are higher in calories than most fruits (yes – they’re a fruit!). However, avocado-consumers have better diet quality and a lower BMI than those who don’t eat avocados. Bring on the guac!

With this being said, if your goal is to lose weight, we recommend using a spoonful of guacamole to add flavor and texture but avoid eating the entire bowl.

Notes

Leave the avocado pit in with the guac to keep it looking green and fresh for longer. Spritzing a bit of lime juice over the top of the guac also helps with this.
