ONLINE COOKING CLASSES

Exactly a year ago we scheduled a cooking class. A hands-on experience making and tasting yummy plant-based recipes seemed like the perfect way to further our plant-based mission. Given what we all know happened a year ago, we had to cancel this class.. telling those who signed up that we’ll schedule another class post-COVID. Naïve us thought that was going to be within a couple months. ??? How wrong were we!?!!

We were really itching to get that class rescheduled, so we took to Zoom! Now we’re teaching online cooking classes that can be attended from the comfort of your own home.

How does it work? Sign up ➡ We email you a list of needed supplies ➡ Join us from your kitchen on Zoom on the date/time of the class ➡ Cook a tasty plant-based meal while learning a little about nutrition ➡ Enjoy your yummy feast!

GOOD READS

I’m just finishing up the book Keep Sharp: Build a Better Brain at Any Age (*affiliate link). This brain health book by neurosurgeon Sanjay Gupta lays out the science surrounding how to prevent mental decline. Gupta is the chief medical correspondent for CNN (his name may sound familiar!), so does a great job of explaining brain science in a way that is understandable and actionable. As you may imagine, what we eat has a major impact on our brain health. What else affects brain health? Exercise, social interactions, sleep.. just another reason that healthful choices are worthwhile!

I also recently read The Orphan Train (*affiliate ink) with my book club. This was one of those novels that I couldn’t put down! And I learned about a really interesting time in our country’s history. Definitely a recommended read!

8 MONTHS?!!

Yes.. our little peanut is now 8 months!! WOW! Lately her favorite thing to do is hold on to our fingers and pull herself up to a standing position. She would stand all day every day.. if only she had an ounce of balance. ? She also looooves avocados. They are her first, second and third favorite food. It worries me that she already has so much in common with Aunt Lexie.. ????????

WHAT’S TO COME?

We’ve been playing around in the kitchen.. as always. We think we’ve mastered our Daily Dozen Waffle recipe and cannot wait to share it with you. Also.. maybe some chickpea crackers. They will be perfect as an on-the-go snack as you get out-and-about this spring!

Thanks for spending some time with us! What’s going on with you? Shoot us a line.

Cheers –

Nat & Lex
