Notes
I like to add some peanut butter every now and then to mix it up! You can also add rolled oats to the shake if you want it to be a little more substantial and filling. I always add a handful of whatever leafy greens I have whether its spinach, kale, chard, etc, and since the shake is so rich in chocolate you can't tell they're there. I have also discovered that you can slip in about a third of a beet without affecting the flavor.Another awesome tweak I have made to this recipe is adding iced coffee in place of almond milk. Oddly enough I found that I couldn't taste the coffee in the shake, but it did deliver a nice shot of caffeine without the cream & sugar!Follow these links to learn more about flaxseeds and chia seeds!
